Teenager hurt in Carlisle robbery

POLICE are appealing for information following a robbery on Wigton Road in Carlisle on Friday night (4 Jan).

The incident occurred at around 10.30pm when three young men dressed in all black clothing assaulted a lone 17-year-old boy as he walked near to the Richard Rose Academy.

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “The victim suffered a cut lip and swollen eye and was robbed of his wallet which contained cash and bank card.”

Anyone who witnessed this incident or who has any information which may assist is urged to contact police referencing incident 265 of 4 January 2019.
