M6 reopen after serious pile-up

The M6 northbound has reopened after a serious multi-vehicle road traffic collision occurred between junctions 35 and 36.

Police were called at 3:10pm.

Emergency services attended along with multiple air ambulances.

The southbound carriageway was also blocked. There was a separate collision on this carriageway and to allow an air ambulance to land.

Both north and southbound have now reopened.
