The Halston in Carlisle joins venues such as The Shard and ArcelorMittal Orbit in London as an unusual location for Yoga classes.
For the first time, the venue transforms The Exchange, a space more used to hosting weddings and celebrations, into a chilled oasis for stretching, reflection and rebalancing. The evening classes, which are suitable for all levels and ages, are run by Pam Fairclough, a 200 hour Yoga Alliance accredited yoga teacher has is also trained to teach “Sports Yoga” (a form of yoga based physical training designed for footballers and sportspeople) and “Moving Stretch” (physical work to target the conditioning of fascia). The classes aim to improve participants flexibility, strength and balance in a fun and friendly environment.
Claire Hughes, Business Manager The Halston says, “We’re excited to start the New Year by inviting Pam to run Yoga classes at The Halston. The Exchange is a bit different to your usual yoga studio, with a feature wall of Cumbrian silver birch tree trunks sourced locally from Penton, complemented by solid wood flooring, a high vaulted ceiling and original artwork by Derek Eland it creates a contemporary, calm space that is ideal for reflection and movement.”
The classes are bookable on The Halston’s website and will be running weekly at 6pm-7.15pm from Monday the 7th January. The classes are £8 per session, for more details visit The Halston website. www.thehalston.com/whats-on-event/yoga-at-the-halston/
