Firefighters tackle Brampton house fire

At 10:45pm yesterday, Tuesday 29 January two fire engines from Brampton and Carlisle East attended reports of a domestic fire in Showfield, Brampton.

A Cumbria Fire and Rescue service spokesman said: “On arrival crews discovered a bedroom fire that was well alight.

“Crews used four breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets and a thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fire.

“Fire crews were in attendance for approximately 80 minutes.”
