Monday’s Racing Abandoned at Carlisle

Monday’s race meeting at Carlisle Racecourse has been abandoned due to frozen ground.

This follows a course inspection which took place this morning (Sunday).

A spokesman for Carlisle Racecourse said: “Following many days of sub-zero temperatures we inspected the course this morning.

“Areas of the course are frozen which means we have sadly had to take the decision to abandon racing on Monday.

“All pre-booked tickets will be automatically refunded.”

The next race meeting at Carlisle will be on Monday February 18th 2019.
