Man arrested after Carlisle hit-and-run

A Carlisle man has been arrested after a fail-to-stop road traffic collision on Dalston Road in Carlisle.

At 1:42 pm on the 1st February 2019, police were called to a failed-to-stop collision involving a Black Land Rover and a Mercedes Sprinter van.

There were no injuries reported.

Following police enquiries a 26-year-old man from Carlisle was, on the 3rd of February, arrested on suspicion of:

  • Handling stolen goods
  • Dangerous driving
  • Failing to stop after a road collision

He remains in police custody.
