Oak Tree Animals Charity has been caring for animals in and around Carlisle for 100 Years. As a charity we have evolved and have become closely aligned to working in partnership within the community and have developed outreach programmes supported by Charity Shops. This move has required us to develop increasingly sophisticated systems to manage and inform our activities.

We are now seeking to recruit a Financial Controller who will manage the provision, distribution and explanation of financial and business information and to ensure that financial operating processes are complied with and developed in line with regulatory reforms. The post holder will also be responsible for the provision of accurate reports and management information at Trustees’ meetings together with ongoing financial operations. As a member of the Management Team the post holder will provide guidance on financial matters so that strategic decisions are informed and contribute to the Charity’s strategic vision.

You must have a detailed knowledge of integrated IT/Financial systems together with the introduction of new financial processes ideally within a charity or small business where you have had an overview of all financial activities including stock-takes, audits etc.

Qualified at professional level in Financial Management with specific experience in business systems and IT the post is offered over four days with an attractive salary, pension and generous holiday entitlement.
