Firefighters tackle Carlisle vehicle fires

At 2:54am today, Sunday 10 February one fire engine from Carlisle East went to reports of a vehicle on fire on Buchanan Road Carlisle.

A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “On arrival firefighters quickly dealt with a severe fire involving two vehicles and bushes which were well alight on arrival.

“They used two hose reel jets and one breathing apparatus.

“Firefighters were detained at scene for approximately forty five minutes.”
