Firefighters tackle Carlisle fire

At 1:05pm yesterday, Monday 11 February fire engines from Carlisle East, Carlisle West, and Brampton were mobilised to a fire in a property on Cumwhinton Drive in Carlisle.

A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “Two fire fighters in breathing apparatus used one hose reel, thermal imaging camera, a positive pressure ventilation fan was used to disperse the smoke.

“Fire crews were in attendance for approximately forty minutes.”
