At 8:01am today, Saturday 23 February two fire engines from Ulverston attended a domestic property fire on Quebec Street, Ulverston.
A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “Crews used two breathing apparatus and one hosereel jet to extinguish the fire.
“One casualty was evacuated from the building by fire service personnel suffering from smoke inhalation and oxygen therapy was administered by fire service personnel.
“Ambulance attended and the casualty was left in their care.
“Crews were on scene for approximately forty minutes.”
