Beacon Museum talk to feature local war artist

One of Kevin Weaver’s pieces of work

TALKING Tuesdays continue at the Beacon Museum in Whitehaven with a talk from a war photographer.

On Tuesday March 12 at 2pm, Kevin Weaver will give a fascinating autobiographical account of his time in war-torn areas, as well as his subsequent careers as a teacher and an artist here in Cumbria.

Kevin’s personal memoir will include photography and music from his time in Bosnia, Kosovo and Rwanda in the 1990s. His exhibition, War on Life, is currently on show at the Beacon Museum until March 17.

The monthly Talking Tuesday events are very popular and advance booking is recommended. Admission costs £4.50 and includes tea, coffee and sweet treats. To book, call the Beacon Museum on 01946 592302.
