Firefighters tackle Calthwaite blaze

At 3:48pm today, Monday 4 March, two fire engines from Penrith were mobilised to reports of a large vehicle fire at Hay Close Farm, Fieldhead, Calthwaite.

A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “Firefighters used two breathing apparatus, compressed air foam and a thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fire.

“Crews were in attendance for approximately one hour and fifteen minutes.”
