Police are investigating an assault that occurred on Westrigg Road, Carlisle on Sunday (3 March 2019) at about 9:05 am.
The victim has approached a man on Westrigg Road following a theft from a local newsagents. While the victim was speaking to the man, another man approached and punched the victim to the face causing a cut lip and a bruised eye. The 30-year-old victim did not require any medical attention.
One suspect is described as 20 to 25 years old, six feet tall with dark hair and wearing a blue fleece top. The other is described as aged 20 years, 5ft 8ins tall and of slim build. He was wearing a black hooded top. No arrests have been made at this time.
