On Friday (1 March 2019), police stopped a white BMW heading northbound on the M6 at Todhills, Carlisle.
A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “The driver of the vehicle Hieu Nguyen, aged 24 and the passenger Thang Hoa, aged 38 – both of no fixed abode – were arrested on suspicion of possession of a Class B drug with intent to supply following the discovery of a large amount of cannabis in the boot compartment of the vehicle, with an approximate street value of £100,000.
“Both Nguyen and Hoa (both male) were charged with possession of the controlled drug with intent to supply and driving offences. They are due to appear Carlisle Magistrates’ Court on Monday (4th March, 2019).”
