Sheep killed in Cockermouth dog attack

Police are investigating an sheep worrying incident that occurred Setmurthy Common near to Cockermouth, between the 4th March and 7th March.

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “Two pregnant ewes have been killed and two ewes have received injuries to their neck after a sheep worrying incident.”

This area is popular with dog walkers and if anyone has any information or has seen anything suspicious in the area can they please contact 101 quoting log reference 147 of 7th March 2019,  Or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Dog walkers are reminded to keep their dogs on a lead when there are sheep nearby.
