Two horses rescued from barbed wire

At 6:05pm on Friday 8 March firefighters were called to a report of an animal rescue at Durdar.

On arrival crews found two horses stuck in a field with barbed wire around their legs.

A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “Crews cut the wire to free them and were detained for approximately 45 minutes.”
