A Penrith man has appeared from police custody at North and West Cumbria Magistrates Court in Carlisle.
Alexander James Keane, 38, of Macadam Way, Penrith faces two-allegations of making threats to kill, one-false imprisonment allegation and an accusation of assault causing actual bodily harm, on Saturday, March 9.
The alleged threats to kill were in a domestic situation on a female from the Harraby area in Carlisle, these are he allegedly detained her against her will, intending she would fear the threat would be carried out.
The accusation of false imprisonment, is he unlawfully and injuriously imprisoned the same female, the alleged assault is on the same victim.
During the 10-minute hearing Keane’s lawyer Mark Shepherd indicated a plea of not-guilty to all charges, District Judge Gerald Chalk sent the case to Carlisle Crown Court to be heard on April 15, he was remanded in custody until then.
