Two arrested after teenager hurt in Barrow assault

Police are investigating an incident of assault that occurred in the early hours of Saturday 9th March 2019 on Marsh Street, Barrow-in-Furness.

The incident involved two men and a female, a second female may have also been at the scene.

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “A 19-year-old male received minor injuries which did not require hospital treatment.

“A 17-year old female from Dalton-in-Furness and a 20-yearold man from Barrow-in-Furness were both arrested on suspicion of assault and have been bailed pending further enquiries.”

Anyone with information or who witnessed the incident should contact police on 101, quoting log number 12 of the 9th of March,  or alternatively contact Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
