Man charged with alleged false imprisonment offences

A man has appeared in court to answer an allegation of two-counts of false imprisonment.

Lee McCutcheon, 27, appeared at Carlisle Magistrates Court from custody, it is alleged that he assaulted and injuriously imprisoned a female and a male and one allegation of wounding with intent.

McCutcheon could not provide an address to the court at the moment, no-plea was entered to the allegations.

The magistrates were told these are serious allegations, one of the victims needed hospital treatment, the other victim is still undergoing medical treatment, court papers show the alleged offences took place in Carlisle on March 17.

Magistrates remanded McCutcheon into custody until April 26, when he will appear at Carlisle Crown Court.
