Firefighters tackle Cleator blaze

At 12:08pm today, Thursday 28 March two fire engines from Whitehaven and Egremont attended a building fire on Main Street, Cleator.

A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “On arrival crews found a fire involving a domestic property and used one hose reel jet to bring the fire under control.

“Crews remained in attendance for forty minutes.”
