At 5:37pm on March 29th, 2019 a number of fire engines attended a transporter vehicle fire on the M6 motorway, north between junctions 37 and 38.
A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: The transporter was carrying 8 vehicles, all of which were involved in the fire.
Crews used four breathing apparatus, two main jets, one 10 metre ladder, lighting and breaking in gear – crews were at the scene for just over three hours.
The motorway was closed northbound for approx four hours.
