Firefighters tackle Carlisle building fire

At 6:20pm yesterday, Tuesday 9 April, two fire engines from Carlisle East and West stations attended a domestic building fire on Close Street, Carlisle.

A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “Firefighters used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet and ventilation to extinguish the fire.

“Crews were on scene for approximately thirty minutes.”
