Appeal after HGV trailer curtain damaged near Penrith

Police are investigating damage caused to the trailer curtain of a heavy goods vehicle.

The incident occurred in the early hour of this morning (16th April).

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “A white Mercedes HGV was parked between Junction 41 of the M6 and Stoneybeck roundabout at Penrith overnight and the damage is believed to have occurred at around 5am this morning.”

Anyone who may have witnessed people interfering with a HGV in this area is asked to contact police on 101, quoting log number 27 of the 16th April 2019, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
