Two people remain in hospital with non-life changing injuries following a two-vehicle collision.
The incident occurred yesterday (15th April) just before 5:13pm on the Lillyhall roundabout near Dobies Garage from the A596 onto the A595.
The collision involved a Vauxhall Combo Van and Volkswagen Tiguan.
A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “The driver of the Vauxhall Combo, a 29-year old man from Workington and his passenger a 27-year old woman from Carlisle, were taken to Cumberland Infirmary.
“They both remain in hospital with injuries not believed to be life-changing.
“The driver of the Volkswagen Tiguan, a 24-year-old woman from West Cumbria received minor injuries.”
The junction was closed in both directions whilst emergency services attended the scene and the road was made safe including clearing fuel from the road.
