The organisers of Keswick Mountain Festival (KMF) have released details of this year’s Studio Talks, which will be hosted in the Theatre by the Lake from 17-19 May.
The line-up for 2019 includes the UK’s most successful high-altitude mountaineer and Fjallraven ambassador Alan Hinkes OBE, Team GB ultra-runner and adidas TERREX athlete Holly Page, ‘Mountain Man’ James Forrest and two of the Lake District based community called Wonderful Wild Women.
The KMF Studio Talks will be free to attend by any festival goer who has a weekend ticket/activity wristband, and tickets for each session cost £5 for everyone else. Other speakers who will present are adventurer and therapist Dr. Julie Carter, outdoor swimming experts Gilly McArthur and Ella Foote, writer and photographer Rachel Crolla, and Andy Beck, the artist behind successful book The Wainwrights in Colour.
Alan Hinkes OBE comments: “I’ve been involved with Keswick Mountain Festival since the beginning and always find it a super event. I’ll be there enjoying all three days and on Friday 17th will be giving a Studio Talks presentation about my recent adventures. Come and say hello – I’ll also be around at the Fjallraven Tipi and in the BMC tent.”
Full details of the KMF Studio Talks can be found at www.keswickmountainfestival.co.uk/studio-talks. The 2019 Keswick Mountain Festival will run from Thursday 16 May until Sunday 19 May.
