Man seriously injured in Barrow attack

Police are investigating a serious assault that occurred in the early hours of Thursday 18 April on Cavendish Street in Barrow.

A 20-year-old man from Barrow, wearing a green polo shirt was knocked to the ground where he was subjected to a sustained assault resulting in a number of head and face injuries which he has received medical treatment for.

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “It is believed three or four men were involved in the assault and their identities are currently under investigation.”

Police are appealing for anyone who has witnessed this incident or who has any information to call Barrow Crime and Safeguarding Team on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 quoting log 20 of 18 April 2019.
