Man charged and remanded in custody following Carlisle attempted murder

A man from Carlisle has been charged with attempted murder and possession of a bladed article.

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “Martin Bozhkov, 20, of Warwick Road, Carlisle has been charged following an isolated incident that involved two men.

“Bozhkov has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Carlisle Magistrates Court on Monday (22nd April).

“Police were called to the incident at the DHL depot within the Pirelli compound at 3:17am, on Friday (19th April), on Dalston Road, Carlisle.

“A 43-year-old man, who is not from Cumbria, was taken to the Royal Victoria Infirmary with serious injuries. He has since been released from hospital.”
