Six fire engines tackle Little Bampton blaze

At 12:40am today,  Saturday 20 April six fire engines from Carlisle West, Carlisle East, Wigton, Longtown , Aspatria, Penrith and the Water Bowser from Penrith were mobilised to reports of a large vehicle fire at Little Bampton.

A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “On arrival fire crews dealt with a large fire involving numerous vehicle trailers.

“Crews used four jets, four breathing apparatus and the compressed air foam system to extinguish the fire.

“Crews were in attendance for approximately two hours and twenty minutes.”
