A man from Carlisle charged with attempted murder and possession of a bladed article (serrated knife) in a public place, has appeared at Rickergate, Magistrates Court House, Carlisle today Easter Monday.
Martin Bozhkov, 20, of Warwick Road, Carlisle, is accused to have been involved in an alleged isolated incident involving two men, both were working at the factory at the time.
It was said the victim received multiple stab wounds.
Police were called to the incident at 3:17am, on Friday April 19 to a location at the DHL depot within the Pirelli tyre factory compound, on Dalston Road, Carlisle.
Martin Bozhkov a Bulgarian National, was represented in court by defence lawyer Michael Woolaghan, no pleas were requested during the hearing.
The defendant was remanded in custody to appear at Carlisle Crown Court on May 27.
A 43-year-old man, named Michael Kadlcik (victim) who is not from Cumbria, was taken to the Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle, with serious injuries he has since been released from hospital, he suffered a punctured lung.
