Firefighters tackle Carlisle blaze

At 12:49pm today, Wednesday 24 April three fire engines from Carlisle East, Carlisle West and Brampton responded to a fire in a domestic property on Victoria Road in Carlisle.

A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “Firefighters used four breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet.

“One casualty was treated by the North West Ambulance Service.

“Fire crews were in attendance for thirty four minutes.”
