A shoplifter has been made subject of a Criminal Behaviour Order aimed at protecting Carlisle businesses from his offending.
Pete Vickers, 42, of Chatsworth Square, Carlisle, admitted 12 shop theft offences committed in the Carlisle area.
Vickers appeared at Carlisle Magistrates’ Court on 19 April 2019 and was made subject of the order and sentenced to a 26-week custodial sentence.
The order prohibits Vickers from entering any Carlisle Shopwatch premises, any retail premises in Carlisle city centre, any Carlisle B&M store or Houghton Hall Garden Centre in Carlisle.
PC Lori Watson said: “Criminal Behaviour Orders are valuable tools to help give local businesses some respite from prolific offending.
“We publicise these orders because we want the public to help us ensure the terms are not broken.
“If you see Vickers ignoring the terms of the order then contact police immediately.”
