Caitlin McKay, was a winner in the Elterwater Youth Hostel Easter eggs treasure hunt.
Each day during the Easter holidays, visitors to the Lakes were invited to hunt for clues which were published by the hostel staff.
Locations, for which map references were given, included the summit of Loughrigg fell, the pebble beach by Grasmere, Cathedral Cave and Slater Bridge in Little Langdale, and the High Close arboretum.
The discovered clues were then exchanged for Easter eggs at the hostel.
The treasure hunt was organised by hostel manager Nick Owen who previously set up simple clues around the hostel grounds for residents.
“We thought we would make it more of an adventure this time,” said Nick. “It’s good to see that a new generation is able to read a map and find clues out in the landscape.”
