Firefighters tackle Carlisle blaze

At 8:24pm yesterday, Thursday 2 May two fire engines from Carlisle East and Carlisle West attended a fire at Church Street, Caldewgate, Carlisle, involving commercial premises.

A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “Firefighters used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel, and a thermal image camera.

“Crews were in attendance for approximately one hour.”
