Cash stolen in Askam-in-Furness distraction burglary

Police are investigating a burglary on Beach Street, Askam-in-Furness, on Tuesday 7th May between 1pm and 2pm.

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “A man has distracted the victim by knocking on his rear window whilst another suspect has entered the property via the front door and took £1000 in cash.

“One of the men is described as white, 5ft 7/8 inches, slim build wearing suit pants, light shirt and carrying what appeared to be a black bag.”
