Firefighters tackle Colton shed blaze

At 5:37pm yesterday, Tuesday 7 May two fire engines from Ulverston attended reports of a building fire in Colton near Ulverston.

A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “On arrival crews found a shed fire which was well alight.

“Crews used one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.

“One casualty was given first aid by fire service personnel before being treated by the ambulance service.

“Crews were in attendance for approximately thirty five minutes.”
