Storrs Hall is taking full advantage of its lakeside lawn this summer, as it prepares to host its annual outdoor production in collaboration with theatre company, Illyria.
Taking place on Sunday, 9th June, the open air production of Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves will be an afternoon for the whole family. Guests are welcome to bring a picnic to enjoy against the backdrop of the breath-taking Lake Windermere.
Andrew Nicholson, General Manager at Storrs Hall, said: “We are so lucky to have such beautiful grounds at Storrs Hall and the outdoor productions allow visitors to enjoy our unique location. This year’s play on the lawn will be another enchanting tale, packed with cliff-hangers and plenty of laughs!”
Now in its 28th year, Illyria is returning to Storrs Hall to perform one of its most popular plays adapted from the One Thousand and One Nights – also known as the Arabian Nights.
Guests are advised to bring warm clothing and waterproofs with them, as the show must go on come rain or shine. The cast are well-weathered to performing outdoors and only a hurricane will call the curtain on this performance.
The luxury Windermere hotel will be providing hot and cold drinks throughout the performance and an afternoon tea and ticket package option is also available.
Tickets start at £15.50 for adults and £12.50 for children, with the afternoon tea and ticket package available from £30 per person. Gates open at 1pm with the performance to begin at 3pm.
