TransPennine Express (TPE) is continuing to focus on enhancing the reliability of services for customers as part of its upcoming timetable change.
This will build on changes made back in December which led to a significant improvement in the reliability and punctuality of trains across the North.
The additional adjustments will come into effect from Sunday 19 May 2019 and customers are advised to plan ahead and check before they travel at: tpexpress.co.uk/timetables
From 19th May 2019, TPE will also be updating their bike reservation policy so cyclists will be able to pre-book a space up to ten minutes before travelling – an improvement from the current 24 hours, using WhatsApp and social media channels. Those with folding bikes are able to travel without pre-booking.
Leo Goodwin, Managing Director for TransPennine Express said: “At the end of last year we made some changes that have significantly improved performance and made our services much more reliable.
“This May, we are going to take the opportunity to make additional refinements to our plans that build on the improvements already made.”
Over the next 12 months, TPE will begin operating brand new Nova trains as part of a £500million investment in improving rail services across the North.
