A WHITEHAVEN man is to be sentenced next week after he admitted an unlawful wounding charge.
Daniel O’Fee, 23, faced one charge during a brief appearance at Carlisle Crown Court this afternoon (FRI).
O’Fee pleaded guilty to unlawfully and maliciously wounding Carl Doran on August 26.
The charge is said to arise out of an incident in Whitehaven.
Anthony Parkinson, defending, told the court it was a “serious matter” – primarily due to the nature of the injury caused, as oppose to the action of the defendant.
“It is a single push to the back of the victim which has regrettably caused the injury,” he said.
No other details of the crime, nor the injury sustained by Mr Doran, were given in court.
Judge Adkin adjourned the case until next Tuesday, when O’Fee, of Queen Street, Whitehaven, will be sentenced.
In the meantime he was granted bail by the judge.
