Person rescued from Carlisle house fire

Partridge Place

Three fire engines from Carlisle West, Carlisle East and Longtown responded to a fire involving a domestic property on Partridge Place, Carlisle.

Firefighters were called to the blaze at 1am today, Sunday 12 May.

A Cumbrian Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “One casualty was rescued from the property by fire service personnel and was administered oxygen therapy before being handed into the care of the ambulance service.

“Fire-fighters used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet and a thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fire.

“Crews were in attendance for approximately thirty five minutes.”
