Firefighters tackle Carlisle house fire

Two fire engines from Carlisle were called to a fire at a domestic property on Pennine Gardens, Carlisle.

Fire crews rushed to the scene at 1:09pm today, Wednesday 15 May.

A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “Firefighters used one hose reel jet, two breathing apparatus, thermal imaging camera and positive pressure ventilation fan to clear the smoke from the property.

“Oxygen therapy was administered to one casualty by firefighters before being handed over to paramedics.

“Fire service crews were on scene for approximately forty five minutes.”
