Fire engines from Barrow, Broughton, Ulverston, Millom, a wildfire unit from Grange, and the Joint Incident Command Unit were mobilised to a large fire involving approximately 200 metres x 200 metres of grass and gorse at Salthouse Mills, Barrow-in-Furness.
Fire crews rushed to the scene at 5:12pm yesterday, Wednesday 15 May.
A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “Crews used two ground monitors to extinguish the fire, and were in attendance for approximately four hours.”
