Firefighters tackle Wigton garage fire

Two fire engines from Wigton and Aspatria attended a report of a building fire on Lowmoor Road, Wigton.

Fire crews were called at 6:30pm yesterday. Thursday 16 May.

A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “The fire involved a domestic garage, the fire was extinguished using five breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets and two thermal imaging cameras.

“Fire crews were in attendance for approximately three hours.”
