Firefighters tackle Carlisle tractor blaze

Three fire engines from Carlisle East, Carlisle West and Longtown attended a large tractor fire on Rigg Lane Carlisle.

Fire crews were called at 9:30pm yesterday, Tuesday 21 May.

A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “Firefighters used one hose reel jet, one breathing apparatus and one compressed air foam branch to extinguish the fire.

“Crews were in attendance for approximately one hour.”
