Children hurt in Barrow assault

Police are investigating the report of two assaults which occurred at Abbots Vale Community Park, Barrow, on 12th May 2019 at approximately 6:30pm.

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “The incident involved a man and two children under the age of 13. The children received minor injuries during the incident.

“A group of youths were in the park area at the time this incident occurred and police are looking to speak to them as potential witnesses.”

Police are appealing for any additional witnesses who were on Abbots Vale Park on this date and time. Anyone with information should call PC 2581 Stanway on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
