Firefighters tackle north Cumbria house fire

Four fire engines from Carlisle east, Carlisle west, Brampton and Longtown attended a domestic building fire on Fenton Lane end in How Mill.

Fire crews were called at 10:27pm yesterday, Sunday 26 May.

A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “Fire crews used four breathing apparatus, four hose reels, two main jets and a thermal imaging camera.

“Crews were on scene for approximately five and a half hours.”
