A Disqualified driver has appeared at Carlisle Magistrates Court.
The court heard that on April 23, police stopped a MG ZR car in Penrith and checked if the driver had insurance, the driver Dane Ashley Chambers, 25, was not insured.
Chambers gave his address as Castle Drive, Penrith, he pleaded guilty to driving whilst disqualified, having no-insurance and no-valid test certificate.
He told the court it was his girlfriends car and can’t explain why he done it, he also gave a false name to the officers, but then gave his correct name.
This is not the first time he breached a court order by driving while disqualified District Judge Tan Ikram said.
Chambers was jailed for 16-weeks on the disqualified driving offence, with no-separate penalty for the other offences, but his licence will endorsed accordingly, he was also disqualified for 6-months, with court costs of £200.
