Three fire engines from Penrith and Lazonby attended a report of a building fire on the A686, Edenhall.
Fire crews were called at 3:51pm yesterday, Tuesday 29 May.
The fire involved the roof space of a domestic property.
A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “The fire was extinguished using two breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet and a thermal imaging camera.
“A roof ladder and triple extension ladder was used to remove roof tiles.
“Fire crews were in attendance for approximately one hour.”
