Tickets are now on sale for a special Father’s Day event in aid of the NSPCC that will include a full English breakfast with unlimited tea and toast!

The Carlisle Central NSPCC Fundraising Committee is organising the special themed event on Sunday 16th June at Downagate Community Centre, to celebrate and thank busy Fathers with the nations’ favourite breakfast.

Meg Sunderland, Chair of Carlisle Central NSPCC Volunteer Fundraising Committee said: “This is an ideal way to say a big thank you to all Dads, it can be hard sometimes to know what to get them and rather than the usual smellies and socks, why not buy a ticket to a scrumptious breakfast event that will not only show your Dad how much you love them but help so many children in need of our help and support.”

Local Fundraising Manager for the NSPCC, Sandra Jones said: “The Carlisle Central Fundraising Committee never fail to delight in the number and variety of the events they kindly and tirelessly organise for the NSPCC. We can’t thank them enough and I would urge everyone to buy a ticket before they sell out, for what promises to be a wonderful “Big Breakfast.”

“Thanks to their efforts we can be there for even more children when they need us most, whether it be through Childline, our schools service or through the Carlisle service centre who run a number of therapeutic services for children and their families struggling with abuse and neglect.”

The event is on Sunday 16th June at Downagate Community Centre, Church Road, Warwick Bridge, Carlisle CA4 8RE, with doors opening at 10am. Tickets are £7 and are available from Meg Sunderland by calling 01228 560157.
