POLICE have this morning (6 June) arrested a man following an incident in Appleby overnight.
Officers are investigating after a white Transit van failed to stop for police officers in Appleby.
The incident occurred on Roman Road on Wednesday 5 June.
A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “The van has driven from Appleby, through Long Marton and returned to the area of Dufton.
“It’s believed the van may have collided with some parked vehicles.
“A man from Appleby aged in his 30s was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and failing to stop for police.
“The man is currently in police custody.”
