Driver critical after A590 Levens crash

Police are investigating a serious road traffic collision on the A590 at Levens.

Officers were called at 4.53pm yesterday (June 13) following a report of crash involving one-car.

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “The collision involved a Ford Focus, driven by a man, 61, of Grange Over Sands.

“He was taken to the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle where he was today in a critical condition.

“Police are appealing for witnesses who may have been in the area at the time to contact officers with any information.

“Officers would also like to hear from anyone who has dashcam footage of the vehicle.”

Call Cumbria Police on 101, referencing incident number 165 of June 13.
